What's your favorite verb?
Becoming as defined by Michelle Obama. “For me, becoming isn’t about arriving somewhere or achieving a certain aim. I see it instead as forward motion, a means of evolving, a way to reach continuously toward a better self. The journey doesn’t end.”
If you could give your 15 year-old self 1 piece of advice, what would it be?
You are never going to have "it all" figured out and you will probably hardly know what "it all" even is and that is just totally-a-okay.
What's your self care goal for 2019?
More deep breaths, slowing down and paying attention to details.
What woman in your life inspires you? How do they inspire you?
My sister Lauren is almost 10 years older than myself so has worn many hats in my life- a second mom, older sibling, mentor, best friend- all with grace and intention seamlessly. I will forever be grateful to her for teaching me everything I know about expectations, forgiveness, empathy and perspective.

If you could give your 15 year-old self 1 piece of advice, what would it be?
I would tell 15 year old me that I will end up in New York and all the things that stressed me out are so minuscule in the grand scheme of things.
What's your self care goal for 2019?
Self-care goal is to make time to write more before bed and not go on my phone as much.
What woman in your life inspires you? How do they inspire you?
My mom inspires me because she's a badass and moved to a different country on her own and did a great job (if I do say so myself) raising us.

If you could give your 15 year-old self 1 piece of advice, what would it be?
It's okay to say no, you can't please everyone, and express your style more, drop the leggings/ Ugg boots.

More face masks, less makeup.
What woman in your life inspires you? How do they inspire you?
My best friend, Gabrielle she truly defines passion and has proven if you dedicate yourself and work hard, you can get the outcome you desire. My mother inspires me everyday to treat people with kindness along with being headstrong and independent.

Thoughts create reality. Reason - there is always one for anything that happens.

Workout 3 times a week and maintain my healthy diet/lifestyle.

My husband’s aunt from Cleveland. She raised the most amazing 3 girls and volunteers a lot with very important organizations. She knows how to plan and how to make things happen. And she is a sweetheart.

What's your self care goal for 2019?
Know when to say "no" when you don't want to or can't do something. Also prioritize savings :)
What woman in your life inspires you? How do they inspire you?
My best friend, Sara, she's a badass, kind, caring, woman who always takes care of everyone and brings people together. She takes the time to show that she cares in small ways and big ones. She also somehow does all of that while working full time and starting her own business this year, she's opening a restaurant in Austin and that's just the coolest. I wanna be like Sara when I grown up.

AOC is the woman who inspires me because she is unapologetically herself and is not afraid to create change.

You're stuck on a deserted island -- what 1 Verb product is in your bag?
I think the practical thing to say is Dry Shampoo Dark, but I'll go with Ghost Shampoo, can't live without it.
What's your favorite verb?
Learning.
If you could give your 15 year-old self 1 piece of advice, what would it be?
One thing I would tell my 15 year old self to not grow up too quick. I would remind myself to have more fun, there's plenty of responsibilities ahead and it'll all be okay anyway, no need to worry so much.
What's your self care goal for 2019?
Self-care goal for 2019 is to make sure I carve out time to learn and explore. There is always a lot of things going on and my brain is always thinking about work but I also need to take time to work on my personal development.
What woman in your life inspires you? How do they inspire you?
A woman that inspires me is my grandma. I've only seen her about 10-12 times in my life since she lives in Mexico and I don't have the ability to travel to Mexico as often as I would like. Every single time we reunite it feels as if we never left each others side. She has a very realistic overview on life, and from her experiences she always reassures me that everything has a solution which keeps me sane.

I want to streamline my hair, skin, and make up routines— simplicity baby. and to stop using my phone before bed.

My mother, she has sacrificed her all to get where my family and I are today.

My mom. She always told me to make sure to get a job where I can take care of myself and not rely on anybody else (*ahem* - a man/partner). I didn't understand why this was such good advice when I was 10, but I totally get it now.

Stop picking your face, learn to love yourself (still working on these), and be nice to your mom -- she loves you.

To let go of things that I cannot change and move forward. Everything is a learning experience.

My younger sister, Lillian. She is wise beyond her years, insanely dedicated to her academic and extracurricular responsibilities and is so aware of the world around her. If you’re reading this Lil, don’t let this get to your head ;)

If you could give your 15 year-old self 1 piece of advice, what would it be?
I would tell myself how much easier life gets when I am finally happy and confident being me, and to not try so hard to impress others; those that love you for who you are are the ones meant to be in your life longterm.

My self care goal is to focus more on the positives in life. There will be bad days, but it's important not to dwell on them.

My grandma - she's kind, compassionate, and generous; she is the center of our family and loves everyone unconditionally!
