The perfect hair routine for color treated hair

Posted by Afterpay Integration on

Color treatment: two words that everyone associates with damaged hair. However, that does not need to be the case! It’s all about the bounce back. Yes, you are putting your hair through the ringer with a color treatment, but with the right products and a diligent routine, you can achieve both stunning color and texture.

Ok, so first things first, shower time. Masks are huge in restoring moisture and overall texture for your hair. Slap on a mask, shave those legs, sing your heart out and once you think 5-10 minutes are done, wash it out. Masks will really ensure that the chemical process done to your hair is recovering. If you’re in search of moisture but not too much Ghost Mask is perfect for you and if you're in search of some major moisture restoration Verb’s Hydrating Mask is the way to go.

Everyone does need a good wash here and there (not everyday ladies and gents) so when you do give your locks a wash, use a product like Verb’s Hydrating Shampoo + Conditioner to restore the moisture lost when coloring. It is important to use shampoos and conditioners that are free of harmful sulfates because sulfates can potentially strip your color... color that you just paid big bucks for!

After you hit the shower, extend and lock in your hydration using Verb’s Leave-In Mist. Sealing your hair with a leave-in conditioner or oil will protect your color and will leave it looking soft and luminous. Now, when it comes to styling, dry shampoo is your best friend. Color treatment is very drying to the hair follicles, so extended periods of time without washing is actually a good idea. Apply some dry shampoo whenever you feel it’s needed, give your locks a brush, and get on with your day feeling and looking refreshed. If you're in the market for a new dry shampoo, we've got a few that'll do the trick.
